Oh Snap! is a blog by photographer, Stephanie Mill who happens to be a hipster the visionary behind our up-and-coming photoshoot. I keep looking back at the word "visionary" thinking to myself how cool I am for using such a big word. FYI: I helped start up her blog. Its why the lay0ut's so shit. Its ok though, she makes up for it in pictures.

I can keep it hood too, all the way up in Pickering. What you're seeing is the pedal for my Rock Band drums, all ghetto-ed up, held together by two metal butter knives and electrical tape. Yeah, that's right, butter knives. This piece of crap wasn't even out of the box for a week and it managed to snap in half. But all those years growing up in the 'hood', I learned to improvise and with the help of a pair of punk kids on Break I fixed it so it's like new it works.

Which maybe wasn't the best idea since I have an exam tomorrow and all I've been doing is playing 'Give It All' on drums. Then again I can say blogging counts as studying for my writer's craft exam.

Stickers for the month of January

'09 is Grind Time.I've made a decision (with some approval of the team) that we will I will try to come out with a new pair of stickers every month. There will be two types of stickers. One being a bumper sticker in a 6"x2" size of just the URL that will come in a different colourway every time, and the other, a head-shot of someone worthy in a 4"x3" size. This month, I chose Mr. Bean, as last shown by Keon Cam. I dunno why, I just did. What... you don't think he was funny?

We will make as much as we can afford. From the looks of it, we can only afford as much as I can afford. BEEF. Speaking of which, Springsteen and I made a quick run to the West End of Toronto (which seems so far away from the East) to check out the printing place that will be making our stickers, this past Saturday. Whats beef is dude never replied to me asking when they were open. We arrive there, only to find out they're not open on weekends. THE STORE HOURS ARE NOT ON THE WEBSITE! Check for yourself here. I'll be sure to make a run back there after school on Thursday.

I wanted to hold off until Saturday to post this...[Shad K & DJ Teelo @ Harbourfront, Summer '08]

But fuck it. The Attic Society goes full-throttle this year. One of the best Canadian acts in Hip-Hop music (from London, ON) does yet ANOTHER free show in Toronto. Respects. What sets Shad aside from everyone else that does live Hip-Hop performances is his live band, and the ability to pull out his guitar, play it AND do his best "Busta-like" rendition. CRAZY! Not to mention he doesn't talk with a Jamaican/American influenced accent. He keeps it real, son! Here's the FB group link.

Big Boss is back! Yes. The Big Boss is me. At least I like to think so.
To the dedicated fans of the blog (Yes, we have had a steady fan base. Of about 34 people), I/we apoligize for not regularly posting over this past month. We also mentioned a lot of things that were supposed to happen, WHICH WILL HAPPEN! But keep in mind, the 3 of us have lives outside of staying in "The Attic". Even Springsteen! Sheeeit. For those who ask, when the stickers come in (which will be coming in), everything else will go as planned; The photoshoot, the promotional tees, the new layout, and everything else. 2009 is the year!
So yeah, that whole thing about us having lives... I was just kidding. I got an Xbox 360 (Gamertag: HOMEFORM), and I took the car out every night I could. No real reason to stop blogging. LOL! As I waited for one of my games to load, I pondered what the blog was missing. Yes. I ponder. Why theres 177 members on our FB group, but only about 34 of them keep coming back. I personally think its time we take a different direction...

The Attic Society will plan to not only post random shit from around the web, but we will also get more personal and interactive by making various vlogs, and taking pics from different events from around Toronto, and also pics of just random ass shit from around the way. Cuz I figure random ass shit is always dope. There was one time that 2 lesbians were making out downtown at Nuit Blanche that come to think of it, wouldve been an awesome post. It was art.
